Unearthed is a project by ‘Dashyline’, a creative collaboration between Stoke-on-Trent artists Nicola Winstanley and Sarah Nadin.
Receiving their first breaks in public art in Staffordshire just four years ago, they have gone on to produce large scale public art all over the country and in Europe. In 2013 Nicola and Sarah are back on home turf to undertake their biggest project yet, with aims to unite the city with a story of Stoke’s compassion and generosity.
Nicola & Sarah believe that the key to successful public art is placing the audience at the heart of the project. Their aim for this project is to create a blueprint for future artists on how to deliver high quality artwork as a result of mass participation.

Prior to this project there have been many people who have helped to maintain the links and develop the profile of the ‘Lidice Shall Live’ campaign in Stoke-on-Trent:

> Fred Hughes – Local historian, campaigner, politician and ex-policeman, Fred has had many professions. He has a passion for promoting local history through media, blogs and books. He has recently published ‘Roses From Ashes’ which commemorates the life and achievements of Sir Barnett Stross and the ‘Lidice Shall Live’ campaign.
